Haha. I suppose you mean the Dems/donkey race. Not quite over, I don’t think. I wouldn’t concede yet… the Hillary machine is still cranking up, and continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
That said, an Obama presidency–should he get the Dem nomination and should the ’08 election run to current polling form (the GOP is woefully behind in all reputable polls)–can hardly be more disastrous than the current one, can it?
A rhetorical question, I know. But anyone with an ounce of sense and true patriotism has to agree that the current White House occupant–and the party he supposedly represents–has done America a profound disservice.
At this point, “anyone else” would be preferable. I’d even go for Hagel over any of the Dems, though I know little of his positions on social issues. (I think that if I did find out, and if he’s a dyed-in-the-wool social conservative then I’d lean Obama.)
