Saw the link via Sullivan. I read that with deep dismay, and could barely get through it without trembling uncontrollably. What Fair described cut too close to home for me.
And you’re absolutely right, of course. Our intelligence gathering services won’t be any different from, say the KGB or whoever was in charge of the Khmer Rouge’s jails. And if that happens, we will have lost everything. Everything.
